West Ham officially launched their Umbro 16/17 home shirt at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday evening and it’s fair to say we’ll be starting a new era in style.

There was so much importance behind our first home strip in our new home after what was an incredible effort by Umbro for our final ever kit at the Boleyn Ground last term.

The new home shirt combines, class, simplicity and style and perfectly compliment’s the club’s movement in to an exciting new period in its long and illustrious history.

The shirt boasts a neat looking sky blue stripe down both sides and includes the traditional claret body and sky blue sleeves.

What is interesting is the decision to display the Union Jack on the lip of both sleeves, as well as having the words ‘Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 2016-2017’ underneath our new and improved club crest.

It’s the new crest design that ultimately makes it, and it looks the part just as our new home does.

We were privileged to have been invited to Saturday’s kit launch by Betway, and here’s how the event went down…
