Diafra Sakho’s latest injury doesn’t help either, and reports this week suggest Carlton Cole will be handed a start up top. As much as I love Carlton, this isn’t what’s going to give us any more hope of leaving the Etihad Stadium with a positive result this afternoon.
Many will want Nene to be handed his first start instead, but I think we’ve all gathered by now that Allardyce isn’t keen on the Brazilian and that he was brought in by the owners rather than the manager.
