You’d be forgiven for thinking our start to the season was a true reflection of what we’re capable of this season.

Slaven Bilic arrived with his fresh ideas, exciting footballing philosophy and announced his arrival in east London in true style.

But recently we’ve suffered something of a a blip in form, one I’d go as far as saying is much more like the ‘West Ham way’ than when we were brushing aside the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea with some lovely football.

Having gone unbeaten in seven games, we’re now three outings with a win. That continued with a shambles of a performance at White Hart Lane on Sunday, which gave us all the crash back down to earth that I personally think we needed.

Much of the talk surrounding our start to the season centred around the possibility of us mounting a serious top four challenge. That, coupled with our move to the Olympic Stadium, also had some questioning whether we were on the verge of breaking in to the top four on a permanent basis, the extra revenue and attractiveness of playing in an iconic stadium providing a springboard to instant success.

Not West Ham fans, though. Neutrals may have been fooled in to thinking we were within five years of a top four finish, but the Hammers faithful aren’t so optimistic.

We’ve teamed up with MyVoteMe.com to bring you exclusive West Ham related questions on a weekly basis. Last week we asked you whether West Ham would finish in the top four within the next five years. And the results speak for themselves…
