Prime Minister David Cameron believes West Ham can follow up their unexpected 2-1 League Cup victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane by taking all three points away to Manchester United.

Cameron took part in BBC Sport’s weekly ‘Ask Lawro’ feature, where selected celebrities and public figures predict the scores of Premier League fixtures with BBC Football ‘Expert’ Mark Lawrenson.

And, quite surprisingly, Cameron has predicted that the Hammers will be victorious at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon, coming away with a 2-1 win.

The Prime Minister is currently visiting British troops in Afghanistan, and our boys also gave their predictions for the weekend’s top-flight programme, although they weren’t as generous to us Hammers as they predicted a 3-1 win for David Moyes’ men.

Many readers will believe that Cameron doesn’t get many things right, but let’s hope he’s right this time around.

Personally I think his prediction was influenced by well-known West Ham fan and US President Barack Obama, who can be seen in the above image sporting a claret tie.

Here are the predictions made by Lawrenson, Cameron and our Troops…
