The January Transfer Window isn’t even open yet and we’re already talking about one of our players going on loan to QPR. Again.

Last year we gave them Modibo Maiga and Ravel Morrison, both of which offered the Loftus Road club mixed results.

This time it’s promising forward Mauro Zarate who’s caught ‘arry’s eye, just months after being brought to the club by co-chairman David Sullivan.

Over the months there has been calls for Zarate to be given a chance, but Sam Allardyce has refused to play him. Zarate claims it’s because he isn’t Allardyce’s signing, but you wonder what else is going on behind the scenes.

As news of Zarate’s medical at QPR broke this morning, Hammers fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns. Why are we allowing a forward to leave the club when we’ll be losing Diafra Sakho for month to the African Cup of Nations? Why isn’t Allardyce giving him a chance? Where is the logic behind this decision?

Some fans took a different stance, claiming Zarate thinks he can win games on his own and is upsetting the squad (all of which are unproven compared to Zarate’s claims), but the general feeling amongst fans is that it’s an outrageous decision…
