The performance against Hull on Monday night may just be the beginning of a new ‘era’ at West Ham, although we mustn’t get too excited after one good, attacking display.

But the line-up and the threat going forward really was what we’ve been demanding from Sam Allardyce for some time now, and you wonder he may have finally woken up to what can be achieved with this current crop of players and that approach to football.

Many will be looking for an unchanged side to face Liverpool this evening, but there have been rumours that Alex Song could come in for his first start for the club, replacing Mark Noble, while Carl Jenkinson could also replace Guy Demel.

Regardless, it’ll be very disappointing if we don’t build on Monday’s performance.
