It’s difficult to know what to expect in the cup from West Ham under Sam Allardyce.

We’ll either go ever-so-close to getting to the final, or knocked out in the first game. There  never seems to be an in-between.

Everton away in the FA Cup third round isn’t exactly what we were all hoping for when the draw was made at the beginning of last month. They’re our bogey team and we never manage to come away with anything from Goodison Park.

Couple that with what is expected to be a weakened side for a number of different reasons and a trip to either Doncaster or Bristol City in the fourth round looks even more unlikely.

Still, there’s a chance. There is always a chance with West Ham. And is the side that could make it happen?
