Arsenal’s win over us last night was pretty inevitable given their desperation for a top four finish this season and our inability to hold on to a lead.
But despite an FA Cup final that they are expected to win on the horizon, the Gunners’ nine year wait for silverware has turned them in to a bit of a laughing stock amongst football fans.
So it was particularly amusing to see Joe Cole weigh in with his own banter after he received some abuse from the Emirates ‘faithful’ last night. Of course, Cole went on to win a fair few trophies with Chelsea after initially leaving us, and clearly enjoyed reminding Arsenal just how successful he has been, while they’ve been deprived of success for so long.
