West Ham are reportedly close to securing loan deals for AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino and Roma striker Marco Borriello, according to several reports in Italy.

Nocerino, 28, and Borriello, 31, are both regarded as surplus to requirements at their respective clubs and have been linked with a move to East London throughout the current January transfer window.

And reports surfacing from Italy this evening suggest that the Hammers are edging closer to signing both of them in what could be a big coup for the club as they battle against relegation from the Premier League.

Italian Sky Sports reporter, Guanluca Di Marzio, tweeted this evening that Borriello is expected to have a medical on Saturday, while Nocerino will arrive in London tomorrow [Friday] ahead of his move:

Let’s hope they both sign in time to go straight in to the side for Wednesday’s game at Chelsea.
