I had the pleasure of speaking to Hammers Chat ahead of Monday’s clash with Southampton.
It’s a bit of a weird stage in our season at the moment. We’re unbeaten in five but without a win in eight, so it’s hard to know whether to be happy or annoyed with where we’re currently at.
One of the biggest talking points in the show was James Collins’ new contract, which I personally think is a good thing.
Geo thinks the club shouldn’t have done it and perhaps would’ve been better off waiting until the summer before committing to a further two years on his contract.
He happened to be on his own, with both Charlie and I admitted it’s great to see Collins committing the next two years of his life to the club. But who do you agree with?
We also previewed Monday’s game against Southampton, who looked hugely impressive in their 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal on Sunday.
