In a recent poll conducted by FootballFanCast.com, it has emerged that 56% of West Ham fans would be happy with a move for Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer.

The Express had linked West Ham with a move for the Serbia international before the Janaury transfer window but, as expected, a move never materialised. Now, though, with The Sun claiming Newcastle will be willing to listen to offers for Mitrovic in the summer, West Ham are bound to be linked with him again.

So a poll was created to guage what the West Ham fans would think if a deal were to be completed in the summer, and it seems the majority of fans would back the deal…

The 22-year-old, valued at £8.5m by Transfermarkt.com, signed for the Magpies two summers ago and netted nine goals in 34 Premier League appearances during his debut season, but that wasn’t enough to help stop Newcastle being relegated to the Championship.

Mitrovic, while suffering with a number of injury problems, has only featured 19 times in the second-tier this season and has just four goals to his name.

Those stats don’t exactly give you confidence that Mtrovic really is the man to help solve West Ham’s ongoing striker issues, which have been evident for many, many years now.

With his game time under Rafa Benitez clearly limited, though, he’ll no doubt be on the move this summer. Should Bilic explore a potential deal to bring the 6 foot 2 inch striker to London Stadium, or are their better deals to be had elsewhere?
