West Ham asked Manchester City if they can loan out-of-favour striker Wilfried Bony, as reported by MailOnline.

The long-term injury to £20.5m club-record signing Andre Ayew has forced Bilic to re-enter the transfer window for a short term replacement.

And it appears he has identified Bony as his top target ahead of next week’s transfer deadline day.

The report also claims the club have asked Juventus about a possible loan move for striker Simone Zaza, who recently stalled on a move to Wolsburg.

However, given Bony’s Premier League experience, Bony would surely be Bilic’s first choice should he be given the choice of the two.

MailOnline claim Bony is interested in a move to London Stadium, although he has also received several offers from other clubs including one from China.

I remains to be seen whether Manchester City will allow Bony to leave for another Premier League club, but it’s obvious they’re willing to get him off their wage bill before the end of the summer transfer window.

Transfermarkt.com value Wilfried Bony at £18.7m.
